Automotive Mission to Detroit 2024

The focus of the upcoming mission is on the topic of electrification:

• Electric motors and transmissions for (P)HEVs
• Inverters
• Power electronics and sensor components for the powertrain
• Powertrain cooling
• Batteries (including battery components, battery management systems, busbars, connectors, battery heating and cooling, battery safety, etc.)
• Powertrain testing and validation
• Simulation tools

Program:

• Tech showcase events at U.S. OEMs (for the powertrain and battery teams at GM, Ford, Stellantis, Rivian) and Tier-1 suppliers (R&D teams at companies like ZF, Mahle, American Axle, etc.)
• Direct contact with respective design and R&D departments for a higher level of involvement/engagement from OEMs or Tier-1s
• Sufficient time for individual meetings and visits
• A well-developed Lunch & Learn format
