VW Passat Plug-in Hybrid: For the Paris Auto Show, the eighth generation of VW’s sedan adopts the plug-in hybrid technology already seen in the Golf GTE but with a little more power. The Passat will have a combined output of 218 hp and torque of 400 nm. The electric range is 50 km thanks to a 9.9 kWh battery and the car will be offered both in sedan and wagon versions.

ELR gets a makeover: According to a Cadillac spokesperson, the “improved version” of the ELR will include “engineering enhancements.” More details have not yet been revealed. The updated version of the plug-in hybrid will premier at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November.
