Clever joins forces with PowerGo on charging in Denmark

Denmark's largest charging point operator, Clever, is entering into a partnership with the Dutch charging point operator PowerGo. This will give Clever customers access to PowerGo's Danish charging network currently includes almost 1,000 charging points, including 65 fast and ultra-fast charging points.

PowerGo has been awarded 19 tenders for the installation of what it says will be 1,600 public charging points in addition to its existing network. Clever’s customers will be able to use these charging points in addition to their own network.

“With our new PowerGo collaboration, we open the door to more than 1,000 new charging points across the country, which our Clever One customers can access at no extra cost. It strengthens our charging universe and gives our customers even more freedom to charge where and when it suits them,” said Mathias Langkilde Sukstorf, responsible for strategic partnerships at Clever.

Clever already utilises smart charging with its home charging customers for a flat monthly rate. This means that users can participate in stabilising grids by charging when demand is lower. The company aims to expand into vehicle-to-grid V2G charging in the future. In the meantime, customers using the Clever One system can enjoy the convenience of an ever-expanding network of charging stations around Denmark.

“We are working to make it easy, safe and flexible to be an electric driver in Denmark. That’s why we are continuously expanding Denmark’s strongest charging network and entering into partnerships with other charging operators to make even more charging points available to our customers,” said Sukstorf.
