​Daimler Buses delivers five eCitaro to HEAG mobilo in Darmstadt​

Daimler Buses has supplied five new Mercedes-Benz eCitaro solo electric buses to HEAG mobilo, the public transport operator in Darmstadt, Germany. This delivery marks another step in HEAG mobilo's ongoing efforts to electrify its fleet and reduce emissions in the region.​

The newly delivered eCitaro buses are equipped with the latest NMC3 battery technology, providing a total capacity of 588 kWh. This configuration allows for a range of approximately 280 kilometres on a single charge, making them well-suited for urban routes. The vehicles will be charged in the depot.

There is room for a maximum of 70 passengers. In terms of safety and passenger comfort, the buses feature advanced systems such as the Preventive Brake Assist 2 and Sideguard Assist 2, enhancing driver support during critical situations. The interior is monitored by multiple cameras, ensuring passenger security, and includes amenities like USB charging ports and infotainment displays to improve the travel experience.​

The electric three-door buses will be integrated into HEAG mobilo’s existing network, contributing to the company’s goal of operating a more sustainable and environmentally friendly public transport system.​ HEAG mobilo has been progressively expanding its electric bus fleet in recent years. With the addition of these five eCitaro buses, the company continues to move towards its objective of significantly reducing CO₂ emissions and reliance on diesel-powered vehicles.​
