The performance version of the Fiat 600e is available in two trims, namely the standard 600e and the special edition Scorpionissima. The 600e comes with a 54kWh battery pack with a range of up to 207 miles (WLTP), as well as a 176kW electric motor capable of pushing 0 to 100kph in 6.24 seconds.

Meanwhile, the Scorpionissima is kitted out with a 207kW motor pulled from the Alfa Romeo Junior Elettrica Veloce – enabling it to hit 0 – 100kph in 5.9 seconds. Abarth claims this makes it their most powerful vehicle yet. It also features Level 2 Assisted Driving features as well as 360-degree parking sensors and a blind spot monitor.

Abarth says the cars were designed with motorsport in mind, featuring Michelin Pilot Sport EV tyres, JTEKT Torsen mechanical limited slip differential to improve torque and handling, stiffened suspension, and a reinforced chassis with anti-roll bar.

Both models come with an engine sound generator, 20-inch alloy wheels, and a revamped body. An infotainment system, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto are included as standard, while Abarth’s custom sat-nav system is standard in the Scorpionissima and optional in the Turismo. They also feature a range of ADAS equipment, such as adaptive cruise control, an electric parking brake, and safety features like ‘drowsy driver detection’ and a lane departure warning system.

The vehicles both come with three driving modes, namely: ‘Turismo’, which provides 300Nm torque and a max speed of 150kph using a sport accelerator pedal and steering configuration; ‘Scorpion Street’, which generates 345Nm torque and a max speed of 180kph with more aggressive acceleration; finally, ‘Scorpion Track’, which includes sport steering and ESP tuning for a max speed of 200 kph and 345Nm torque.

The cars can be purchased in Acid Green or Hypnotic Purple, with pricing starting at £36,975 (~€44,200) for the 600e and rising to £39,875 (~€47,600) for the Scorpionissima. Abarth says the pricing for the Scorpionissima was based on a desire to avoid the Expensive Car Supplement. This is a new vehicle tax being introduced in April 2025 which means all EVs priced over £40,000 must pay £410 per year over the first five years of ownership – in essence removing the tax exemption for luxury EVs.

Giuseppe Cava, UK MD for Fiat and Abarth, said: “Recognising that our top-of-the-range Abarth 600e Scorpionissima would have attracted the Expensive Car Supplement coming in April, we made the decision to reduce the price of the car and protect our customers from this tax rise.”
