Leapmotor opens UK order books for the T03 & C10
In terms of technical specifications, the T03 is a compact five-door model in the A-segment. It has a battery capacity of 37.3 kWh and a range of 165 miles, according to WLTP. Leapmotor describes the car as a “compact hatchback that delivers B-segment space and practicality at an A-segment price.”
The C10 is a large D-segment SUV with a 69.9 kWh battery and 160 kW motor power. It has a WLTP range of 263 miles. It uses Leapmotor’s cell-to-chassis technology, which integrates the battery cells into the structure of the vehicle. According to the announcement, it also features “a host of premium standard features not normally seen at this price point,” such as electrically powered, heated and cooled front seats, a panoramic sunroof, 360-degree surround view camera, among other things.
Both vehicles also include Level 2 intelligent driver assistance systems, with the T03 offering 10 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) functions, while the C10 features “12 high-precision sensors and 17 advanced functions, including advanced emergency braking, lane keeping assist, blind spot detection and adaptive cruise control.” Both products are covered by a four-year warranty, and the battery features a separate eight-year guarantee.
“What makes Leapmotor unique is we’re backed by the extensive and experienced Stellantis UK retailer network and aftersales care, which in turn guarantees unrivalled peace of mind for customers,” explained Damien Dally, Leapmotor UK Managing Director, adding: “The combination of our cutting-edge technology, exceptional specification, value for money and an established dealer infrastructure means that, unlike with other car brands joining the UK market, buyers will not be taking a leap into the unknown when choosing a Leapmotor.”
Leapmotors expansion in the UK is also mirrored in continental Europe, where the manufacturer had announced having grown its sales network to a total of 450 points of sale across 14 European countries last month. The annual target of 500 sales outlets was then increased to 600 for this year.
In 2023, Stellantis acquired a 20 per cent stake in Leapmotor to boost its business in China and bring Leapmotor’s electric cars to Europe. They then founded the 51/49 Stellantis-Leapmotor joint venture.
