Upgraded 2025 Honda Prologue promises over 300 miles range

After the success of its first model in 2024, Honda has today revealed improved specs for its 2025 Prologue - promising higher range and power with minimal price increases.

That’s thanks to an upgraded front power unit which is said to deliver a 308-mile range rating, an increase of 12 miles over previous models.

As before, the Prologue is available in both FWD and AWD configurations, with Honda quoting 300 horsepower and 481 Nm of torque for its AWD models. Meanwhile, the output ratings of single motor two-wheel drive models have reportedly increased to 220 horsepower and 329 Nm of torque.

The Prologue will once again be available in three trim levels: EX, Touring, and Elite, all of which qualify for the $7.500 federal tax credit currently in place.

DC fast charging comes as standard for all Prologue models, with Honda estimating that their 85kWh battery pack can recharges 65 miles of range in 10 minutes at rates of up to 150kW.

Honda has also unveiled US pricing for the 2025 Prologue, which starts at approximately $47,400 (€44,250) for its 2WD models and $50,400 (€47,072) for its AWD models before tax credit is applied. That makes it just €42.90 ($55) higher than the 2024 model upon release.

Honda’s first foray into electric SUVs, the 2024 Prologue, was the USA’s second best-selling non-Tesla EV during Q4 of last year. While it mostly relies on the Tesla Supercharger network, Honda claims its EV owners will have access to more than 100,000 fast chargers across the US – including the IONNA DC, EVgo and Electrify America networks. There are currently no plans to offer the vehicle in Europe.
