They are the first Farizon vehicles to go on sale in Europe. The price tags range from £45,000 (€37,300) for the smallest van with the 83 kWh battery to £56,000 (€46,405) for the largest model with the same battery. The first deliveries set for Q2 2025.

According to Farizon, the electric van has a combined WLTP range of up to 247 miles (about 400 km) and can charge with up to 140 kW from 20 to 80 per cent in 36 minutes. The largest variant with the 106 kWh NMC battery can charge with up to 120 kW and takes four minutes longer to reach the same SoC. All variants have an 11 kW AC onboard charger. The front motor delivers 170 kW peak and maximum torque of 336 Nm. The van has a top speed of 83 mph (about 135 kph), while it can sprint from zero to 62 mph (about 100 kph) in 12 seconds.

As mentioned above, the Farizon SV electric panel vans can be purchased in a range of size and length configurations, all with a low loading height of 550mm. Buyers can also choose between a 67 kWh or an 83 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery. The largest model is also available with a 106 kWh nickel manganese cobalt (NMC) battery. Farizon opted for cell-to-pack technology, said to increase battery capacity by 10 per cent, reduce weight by 4 per cent and improve body rigidity by 20 per cent.

The smallest L1 H1 variant is just under 5 metres long and nearly 2 metres high and wide. It has a cargo volume of 6.95 m3 and a maximum payload of 1.27 or 1.35 tonnes, depending on the battery size. The largest L3 H3 variant is just shy of 6 metres in length and 2.5 metres high. At 1.98 metres, the width is the same as for the small variant. It has a cargo volume of 13 m3 and a payload of 1.4 or 1.5 tonnes, depending on the battery option.

Optional features include paint finishes (cyan, black, blue, gold and grey), a vehicle-to-load (V2L) capability (3.3 kW), a towing package, plus 270-degree rear doors – all for an additional charge. Farizon sales head Kate McLaren claims that the van’s payload volumes outdo competitors by as much as 20%. She adds that the range between charges (247 miles on a combined cycle and 342 on the city cycle) ‘easily beats’ competitor products.

The Chinese first presented the Farizon SV at the end of 2024. In the UK, the electric vans will be distributed by Jameel Motors UK.

Farizon was founded in 2016. Its focus is on zero-emission commercial vehicles, and it offers vans, trucks and buses. The company is part of the Chinese Geely Group, which owns brands such as Volvo, Polestar, Lotus and Zeekr. Geely also holds a 50 per cent stake in Smart.

The Farizon SV was specifically designed to meet the needs of European fleets and incorporates several advanced technologies and innovations that, according to the company, represent a world first in the commercial vehicle market. The company has not really been active in Europe until now. However, in September 2024, it secured a major order at the IAA Transportation in Hanover. German logistics company Duvenbeck ordered 50 units of the electric Homtruck.
