Polestar attracts Tesla drivers with a $5,000 discount

With a discount called the ‘Conquest Bonus, ’Polestar wants to attract US Tesla drivers who want to switch to another brand. Together with a special leasing offer, the Polestar 3 can be up to 20,000 dollars cheaper.

In January, New Polestar CEO Michael Lohscheller said that his salespeople should specifically address dissatisfied Tesla customers who want to distance themselves from Elon Musk and the company. The ‘Conquest Bonus’ could now be seen as the implementation of the CEO’s instructions.

Polestar does not mention customers’ dissatisfaction with Elon Musk in relation to the offer, but it is “Calling all Tesla Owners.” Specifically, the offer states: “Enjoy up to $20,000 towards the lease of a new Polestar 3 when you combine the $5,000 Polestar Conquest Bonus and the $15,000 Polestar Clean Vehicle Incentive.”

The Polestar Clean Vehicle Incentive is not a direct discount on the $15,000 cash purchase price, but a leasing offer with instalments of $599 per month for the Polestar 3 Single Engine – and freely available to all customers. The other key data are a down payment of 5,000 dollars and a term of 27 months. The website does not list the leasing rate for Tesla drivers; interested parties should contact a dealer for more information. The German publication Automobilwoche estimates that Tesla drivers will pay around 70 dollars less with the additional discount.

But you have to be quick: The promotion is only available until 28 February.
