Irizar e-mobility to deliver eleven electric buses to Luxembourg
According to the rather short press release, the buses are scheduled for delivery in “late 2025.” Furthermore, they will be equipped with the latest generation of “Irizar NMC 3.0 batteries,” which are combined with a regenerative braking system, making them more efficient.
The manufacturer says a new drivetrain offers improved performance compared to earlier models. The 12-metre version has a power output of 185 kW, while the 18-metre version offers 285 kW of power. Both have a range of up to 350 kilometres.
The Voyages Emile Weber group and Irizar e-mobility have been working together for several years. The former took delivery of six electric 12-metre solo buses from the Spanish manufacturer in 2018. Soon after, the public transport operator placed another order for Irizar’s 18-metre bendy buses, which were delivered in 2019.
“Emile Weber is an important client in the history of Irizar e-mobility, because they were one of the first operators who put their trust in our electromobility solutions back in 2018, when we had barely manufactured a hundred vehicles,” says Iñigo Etxeberria, Irizar e-mobility Managing Director. “We’re very grateful they are putting their trust in us again. And we hope to keep collaborating and building a better world together for many more years.”
