Xpeng launches sales in Finland
The Xpeng Stromer G6 and G9 will be sold there via Inchcape Motors Finland. The G6 starts in Finland at a list price of 48,290 euros (Launch Edition for 45,790 euros) and the G9 from 62,900 euros (Launch Edition for 75,900 euros). Deliveries are scheduled to begin at the end of February. A showroom will then open in the capital Helsinki, with another in Espoo to follow soon after.
Xpeng plans to launch with three versions of the G6: The standard-range version (for the entry-level prices mentioned above) has an LFP battery. This is followed by the Long Range model with NMC battery and rear-wheel drive – in Finland, the G6 Long Range starts at 49,990 euros. The top model is the G6 Performance with all-wheel drive from 54,390 euros. According to the press release, there are only two drive systems for the larger G9 at launch: the 62,900 euro base price refers to the G9 Standard Range, while the more expensive Launch Edition technically corresponds to the Performance model – which also explains the large price difference, as there is no Long Range model with rear-wheel drive in between.
Inchcape Motors Finland is a company that has been importing and selling Mazda and JLR vehicles to Finland since the 1990s – in the case of JLR, this is currently done via a separate subsidiary. Inchcape Motors Finland is in turn part of the British Inchcape Group. “The value for money of these models makes XPENG an exceptionally attractive option for both private and business drivers,” says Stefan Andström, CEO of Inchcape Motors Finland. “We are confident that Xpeng, already a well-known and successful brand in Europe, will also attract widespread interest in Finland, and we look forward to hearing the first user experiences.”
