Daimler Truck expands charging card cooperation with UTA Edenred
The collaboration focuses on service cards with which fleet operators can charge and refuel. The so-called ‘Mercedes ServiceCard charging card’ gives the manufacturer’s battery-electric trucks access to UTA Edenreds’ international charging network, which currently comprises around 300 truck-compatible charging stations in 28 countries, including Milence’s charging parks, according to the partners. The charging card is currently available to customers in Germany, Austria and France. It will now also be rolled out in Italy and Spain in the coming months other countries will follow, according to the press release.
The partnership also includes the equivalent service card for conventional petrol stations as well as other mobility services such as toll processing in 27 countries, vehicle cleaning, car park booking and ferry use. In addition, the charge and fuel cards can be used in the Mercedes-Benz Trucks workshop network to process workshop services and breakdowns.
“The extension of the Mercedes ServiceCard fuel and charging card offering continues a successful partnership that has existed between UTA Edenred and Daimler Truck for over 20 years,” says Pierre Jalady, General Manager of Edenred Mobility EMEA and CEO of UTA Edenred. “I’m particularly pleased with the joint focus on electromobility, which will further shape the transformation in the European transportation and logistics sector.”
“Through our continued cooperation with UTA Edenred, we’re retaining a tried-and-tested solution for our customers and their Mercedes-Benz trucks. The fuel and charging cards provide our customers with seamless mobility in almost 40 countries. Not just for charging, refuelling and tolls, but also in the event of a breakdown. When visiting a Mercedes-Benz Trucks Service workshop, the cards offer a cashless solution to getting back on the road as quickly as possible,” added Christian Velleuer, CEO of Mercedes ServiceCard GmbH & Co. KG.
