Fastned now offers toilets at its charging stations
Fastned and Dutch company One Hundred restrooms have signed a European framework agreement to provide Fastned’s charging stations in Europe with sanitary facilities and toilets. The aim is to “EV travellers and all other road users across Europe, setting a new standard in comfort, safety, and well-being along the European highways,” the press release states.
Fastned is one of Europe’s ambitious fast-charging network operators, and it is experimenting with various location concepts. Last year, the Dutch company opened its first “motorway service areas of the future.” In addition to fast charging, the charging park in Belgium also offers a shop with a restaurant and toilets. In Germany, a ‘Fastned Shop’ opened in November at an existing fast-charging park on the A3 motorway. The facility is located in North Rhine-Westphalia and offers round-the-clock access to toilets, coffee and vending machines.
