Endesa installs 134 charging points at GM Cash-Gros Mercat shops
According to the companies, Endesa will install different types of charging stations with capacities between 22 and 300 kW. Specifically, it will set up 12 ultra-fast 300 kW charging points at three locations, 62 ultra-fast 150 kW charging points at 31 locations, eight 50/60 kW fast-charging points at six locations and 52 charging points with up to 22 kW at 27 locations.
Seventy-two of these charging points have already been installed and are in operation, while the remaining 62 charging points are in various stages of implementation. Twenty-six of the above-mentioned 36 locations will be open to the public 24/7. The remaining ten locations will only allow access during the shops’ opening hours. They do not specify which locations will be open to the public at all times.
“This alliance represents an important milestone in our strategy to promote sustainable and electric mobility,” said Davide Ciciliato, Endesa’s general marketing director. “We have made the project to measure so that these charging stations in Transgourmet car parks offer a comprehensive solution for drivers of electric vehicles, both for those who want to charge their car while shopping in one of the establishments and for those who need to recharge their energy quickly to continue their journeys, as the locations are highly convenient.”
Albert Pérez, sustainability manager at Transgourmet, added: “We want to facilitate access to electric mobility, allowing our customers to recharge their vehicles while shopping. It is an important step in our sustainability strategy, as it reflects our dedication to offering solutions that contribute to reducing emissions and caring for the environment.”
The chargers can be used via the Endesa electric mobility app. The company stresses that users can even reserve the chargers for up to 15 minutes in advance. Endesa also emphasises that it has already deployed nearly 6,000 charging points throughout Spain.
