Copec Voltex has set up Gogoro battery swapping stations in ten strategic locations across Santiago, Chile’s national capital, including the boroughs of La Reina, Ñuñoa, Santiago, La Florida, Huechuraba, Vitacura, Lo Barnechea, and Estación Central. By the end of the year, the company plans to open eight more outlets to widen its reach and give customers more convenience.

”Our partnership with Gogoro lets us offer an innovative charging solution that redefines city travel, lowering barriers to entry and bringing electric mobility to a new group of Chileans seeking more efficient and sustainable transportation for daily life,” said Copec Voltex CEO Andrea Castro. Gogoro customers in Chile have six battery swap plan options – Lite Swap, Flex Swap, Super Swap, Pro Swap, Business Basic, and Business Plus.

Lite Swap, the most basic plan, costs 7,490 Chilean pesos (7 euros) per month for the first six months and then 8,990 Chilean (9 euros) pesos per month. It allows them to ride up to 250 kilometres or until their scooter consumes up to 278 amperes. If they cross the monthly limit, Copec Voltex charges them 47 Chilean (0.5 euros) pesos per additional ampere.

On the other end of the spectrum, the Business Plus plan costs 70,990 Chilean pesos (69 euros) per month for the first six months and then 83,990 Chilean pesos (81 euros) per month. The most expensive option increases the monthly limit significantly to 2,800 kilometres or 3.111 amperes. Additionally, it reduces the per additional ampere charge to 38 Chilean pesos (0.4 euros).

In addition to Chile, Gogoro is present in Colombia in Latin American region. “It is exciting to see the Gogoro ecosystem expanding in Latin America, first with Terpel in Bogota and now with Copec Voltex in Santiago,” Gogoro’s Interim CEO Henry Chiang said.
