Lexus announces new entry-level variant of the RZ
Lexus has unveiled the 2025 Lexus RZ models, which come in three variant options: entry-level, premium and luxury. The 2025 RZ models come with a lower price tag, with the new entry-level RZ 300e FWD trim starting at approximately $44,000 (42,000 euros), including a $1,175 delivery fee. The vehicle runs on a 72.8kWh CATL lithium-ion battery.
With 18” wheels, it has an EPA-estimated driving range of 266 miles (428 kilometres). With 20” wheels the vehicle records an EPA-estimated driving range of 224 miles (360 kilometres). Drivers can enjoy a smooth and quiet ride as Lexus employed a subframe in lieu of a rear eAxle from the AWD model. It is said that the subframe suppresses vibrations and noise.
Equipped with a 71.4 kWh battery and 18” wheels, the 2025 RZ 450e AWD has an EPA-estimated driving range of 220 miles (354 kilometres). It is priced at $48,000 (approx. 45,000 euros). With 20” wheels, the RZ 450e has an EPA-estimated driving range of 196 miles (315 kilometres). The all-wheel-drive trim boasts a dual-moto DIRECT4 system, which optimises drive force, traction, and posture control per driving conditions and the load carried by each wheel.
Lexus says the new trims are equipped with the e-TNGA steel platform, which provides optimal mass placement and high body rigidity. Moreover, the models employ high-tensile steel panels and an aluminium hood to reduce weight and increase rigidity.
In addition to the model update, Lexus is introducing a ‘Lexus Reserve’ programme that will continue to provide RZ customers who purchase or lease a 2023-2025 RZ access to an exclusive complimentary rental service. Lexus says the dealer-based programme will allow customers to enjoy 30 complimentary reserve days to be used for three years from the date of purchase/lease.
