Zeekr delivers first EVs in Norway
Norway’s first Zeekr 001, a white model, was handed over to a customer from the IT sector in Oslo. In Norway, Zeekr is working with Premium Cars Stor-Oslo, with locations planned in other cities in the electric mobility flagship country.
Following the launch in Europe in Sweden and the Netherlands last year, the Geely brand only announced this October that it would deliver the first vehicles in Norway before the end of the year – around eleven months after the first handover to a customer in the Netherlands.
In Germany, the Shooting Brake 001 and the compact SUV Zeekr X can already be pre-ordered, and the first price reduction has already been announced. It is not yet clear when the vehicles will also be delivered in this country – the company has certainly not met the deadline of early 2024 set at the end of last year. When asked by electrive in October, the company said: “No new update on Zeekr in Germany – but we’ll get back to you as soon as we know more.”
Zeekr delivered 25,049 vehicles worldwide in October, surpassing the previous record set in September (21,333 BEVs). In the current year, Zeekr has already delivered 167,922 vehicles, an increase of over 82 per cent. Within the Geely Group, Zeekr will take on a more important role among the e-brands: Just this week, it was confirmed that Zeekr will take control of the Lynk & Co brand.
