Electric motorbike in the style of ‘Back to the Future’

The DeLorean from ‘Back to the Future’ is cult - and has already been shown several times as an electric car conversion. DAB Motors from France has now produced a special edition of its 1α electric motorbike in the look of the DeLorean.

DAB Motors, although actually specialising in custom bike conversions with combustion engines, had already given a preview of a small electric motorbike in 2021 with the Concept E – the DAB 1α has also been available since April 2024. Instead of the usual black and white look, DAB Motors has now unveiled a one-off that is reminiscent of the legendary DMC-12.

In other words, in addition to the steel panelling with some signs of wear and tear (like the original), there are also all kinds of details that are reminiscent of the iconic film car – for example, in the cockpit of the electric motorbike. It is where DAB Motors was able to fully utilise its expertise from the custom bike conversions. The ‘OUTTATIME’ number plate and the top speed of 88 mph (141 kph) – precisely the speed required for time travel in the film – also fit in with this.
