The Turkish manufacturer debuts on the British market via an exclusive sales partnership with EVM. The focus is on the e-Jest with right-hand drive. According to Karsan, it has already sold 700 e-Jest electric minibuses of the standard left-hand drive version in countries on the European mainland and in North America. The right-hand drive model was also launched in Japan at the end of 2023.

Both versions of the e-Jest have a 135 kW drive with up to 290 Nm of torque. The six-metre model has an 88 kWh battery capacity, which, according to Karsan, provides a range of up to 210 kilometres. The battery can be charged with 80 kW DC or with up to 22 kW AC. The exact dimensions of the bus are 5.85 x 2 x 2.8 metres.

Karsan CCO Deniz Çetin comments: “Karsan e-JEST has been the leader of its segment in Europe for four consecutive years. At the end of last year, we launched the righthand drive e-JEST in Japan. e-JEST, which has been in demand in a wide geography from Europe to Canada and Japan, is now on the road in the UK and Ireland. Our targets for the coming period now include Malta and Australia.”
