Vauxhall names new prices and specifications for the new Mokka
The new Mokka Electric features a 54 kWh battery pack, up from the previous 50 kWh. In combination with the 156PS (115 kW) electric motor, the EV can travel up to 250 miles (about 402 kilometres) on one charge, according to WTLP. The previous model offered 100 kW.
In the UK, the “Mokka Electric now offers savings of up to £4,640, making electric mobility more accessible to all,” Vauxhall specifies. That means the electric SUV is available from 33,245 pounds for the Design trim, while the GS trim sells for 35,095 pounds and the Ultimate trim from 38,095 pounds.
In April, Vauxhall also launched a 29,495-pound version called the ‘Griffin’ in the UK. That model trim seems to be no longer available.
What is still available is Vauxhall’s cooperation with Tesco and Octopus Energy. Customers who buy online can get 500 pounds towards an Octopus Energy Ohme Pro wallbox and installation from the carmaker. Or they can choose a £500 free charging credit at Tesco stores across the UK.
The Mokka Electric has also gotten a “subtle” visual overhaul. It, for instance, now features the black Vizor that “integrates the headlights and Griffin into one element.” It also features body colours skid plates and new HD Rear-view camera. On the inside, the new 10-inch digital instrument display and 10-inch touchscreen now come as standard
These changes are not surprising. Sister company Opel also updated the Mokka Electric and adjusted the price structure a few weeks ago.
