The Microlino electric miniature three-wheeled car is being turned into a convertible. The Swiss manufacturer Micro presented the series version of the Microlino Spiaggina at the Paris Motor Show.

Micro had previously presented the concept inspired by 1960s beach cars two years ago at the Paris Motor Show. The series version of the Spiaggina variant of the Microlino with a removable hardtop is now planned to go on sale in 2025.

It will be available in a limited First Edition in two colour combinations, for which customers can secure a place on the waiting list online. The starting price for the limited First Edition with a 10.5 kWh battery is 24,990 euros.

In terms of technical specifications, the small electric car can go up to 177 km per charge, while reaching a top speed of up to 90 kph. The maximum output is set at 12.5 kW.

“The Microlino Spiaggina is an idea we’ve had in mind for years, and it’s finally become a reality. It will be the most stylish vehicle for Europe’s summer destinations like Portofino, St. Tropez, or Ibiza,” explained Merlin Ouboter, Microlino Co-Founder.

While the Microlino is a fairly niche vehicle, and had to contend with production issues at launch, as well as a copyright battle with Artega, it has made it to mainstream use with a car-sharing programme in Madrid, and a lite version of the car was presented as a concept at the Geneva Motor Show earlier this year.
