Daimler Truck selects Munich Electrification as BMS supplier
Munich Electrification states that it has customised the management systems to the needs of Daimler Truck AG. The company does not provide any information on the order volume itself. The subject of the supply agreement is the battery management system called Bologna, which is designed for a voltage of up to 950 volts.
According to its website, Munich Electrification is a developer of battery management systems, control and sensor components as well as advanced software frameworks. The company describes its ‘Bologna’ product as “ideal for fully electric trucks.” It integrates a battery management unit (BMU), a cell monitoring board (CMB), and, according to Munich Electrification, has a flexible software architecture that allows “quick adaptation to various battery pack architectures and vehicle interfaces.”
“We are incredibly happy and proud of this successful cooperation and look forward to further exciting projects in the future,” said Uwe Wiedemann, Managing Director of Munich Electrification. “Our innovative BMS technology will play a pivotal role in driving sustainability and efficiency in the transportation industry.”
