The Danish charging platform Spirii says it will provide an end-to-end charging solution for all Circle K’s eMobility-related activities in the four countries mentioned as part of the collaboration that has now been publicised. The move follows Circle K’s acquisition of the Total petrol station network in Germany and the Benelux countries earlier this year.

According to Spirii, over 600 DC charging points will be migrated to the company’s EV charging platform. In addition, the Danes “will be installing AC chargers for home and workplace use over the next two years.” Spirii will specifically act as a charge point operator and manage and support Circle K’s charging network to ” position Circle K among the leading charging providers in all markets.”

Tore Harritshøj, CEO and co-founder of Spirii, is delighted with the collaboration, “as it not only showcases our ability to deliver comprehensive platform and turnkey solutions but also reflects our dedication to advancing the EV infrastructure throughout Europe.” Circle K wants to join the ranks of the European charging elite and Spirii is pleased to support its partner in realising this vision.

Håkon Stiksrud, Global Head of eMobility at Circle K, commented:
“We are very pleased to enter a collaboration with Spirii, which will enable growth of our charging service in these markets. Our mission is to make the EV customer’s journey easy, and we look forward to engaging with Spirii on that journey.”

According to Spirii, the cooperation will launch simultaneously in all four countries. One of the Danes’ next milestones is the introduction of Plug&Charge.
