Dacia has lowered the price of its all-electric Spring by 500 pounds. However, the 'Electric Boost' is a limited time offer and only runs until the end of September. (UPDATE BELOW)

According to the carmaker, the offer lowers the starting price to 14,495 pounds. That translates to a monthly payment of 158 pounds for a four-year lasing deal for the Expression 45 version. The price for the Expression 65 and Extreme 65 trim would be £168 and £178 per month, respectively.

Dacia opened the order books for the Spring in the UK in June. The first units will be delivered to customers in October.

The EV offers a usable range of up to 140 miles (WLTP mixed cycle) or 186 miles (WLTP urban cycle), with the compact 26.8 kWh battery able to be charged from 20% to 100% in four hours using a 7kW wall box. As was announced when the new version of the Dacia Spring was revealed in February, the new Spring will thus also feature a small 26.8 kWh battery and have a maximum output of 33 or 48 kW.

The entry-level version is only sold with the smaller electric motor, while the top-of-line ‘Extreme’ trim is available with the larger one. Both powertrains are available in the mid-range ‘Expression’ version.
