Ampeco signs E.ON Drive Infrastructure as a customer
According to the new partners, the deal will help E.ON “achieve efficient operations and maintain high network reliability” while addressing the needs of pan-European customers. Ampeco does not go into detail about how EDRI will use the tools. However, from earlier partnerships with EVBox, for example,” we know that Ampeco hopes their white-label solution gives CPOs better control of their network. They can configure charging from the charging management software, implement individual payment solutions or display individual messages to drivers with cost and tariff information in real-time.
We also recently spoke to Ampeco CEO Orlin Radev, who explained how it can help a CPO juggle regulations around payments, security, data, and EV charging infrastructure.
“AMPECO’s platform not only meets our current needs for scalability but also offers the flexibility crucial for our future growth. It gives us full control over our charging network and the ability to create tailored solutions that deliver valuable services to our customers,” says Arjan van der Eijk, Managing Director at E.ON Drive Infrastructure. The keyword is scalability: Over the next few years, E.ON plans to install a further 1,000 fast chargers, which will then apparently also be managed via the Ampeco platform.
“Migrating our pan-European network was a significant challenge that required thorough planning and preparation. Ampeco’s extensive support and expertise helped us to set up and test everything before the migration, ensuring a smooth transition with minimal service disruptions,” says Lukas Gläsel, Product Owner at E.ON Drive Infrastructure.
“We are thrilled to provide the technological foundation for EDRI’s ambitious expansion across Europe. EDRI’s selection of our platform validates our commitment to delivering advanced, scalable solutions that meet the complex needs of large-scale CPOs. We look forward to supporting EDRI’s vision of an efficient charging network that will drive the future of e-mobility across the continent,” says Orlin Radev, CEO of Ampeco.
Ampeco was founded in Bulgaria in 2018, and BMW has been an investor since 2023. The company also recently entered into a strategic partnership with Hubject. The cooperation enables CPO and EMP to use Hubject’s networks and Ampeco’s charging management via a contract.
