Terra Charge to expand charging network across Indonesia
This new target follows the successful installation of 100 public EV charging stations in major cities including Jakarta, Bandung, Surabaya, and Bali over an eight month period.
“By building a robust charging infrastructure, Terra Charge aims to meet the growing demand for EVs and contribute to a cleaner, greener future,” explained Toru Tokushige, CEO and Founder of Terra Charge, adding: “With our efforts, we hope to contribute to reducing air pollution by 29 per cent by 2030 and help Indonesia achieve its net zero emission target by 2050.”
Terra Charge is not the only company installing charging infrastructure, as Hyundai announced plans to install charging stations in July. Hyundai’s subsidiary Hyundia Mobis wants to manufacture batteries in Indonesia, and European companies such as Volkswagen are also looking to produce batteries in the nation.
