Maserati reveals convertible for a day on the lake
It is the matching luxury motorboat for Maserati’s new electric convertible. The luxury car brand has teamed up with Vita Power to develop the 10.5-metre-long Tridente, which has a peak output of 447 kW and a battery capacity of 252 kWh. Vita Power was primarily responsible for the technical aspects. The company specialises in the integration of electric drive systems in boats for leisure and commercial applications.
The partners envisage that the Maserati Tridente will be used as an emission-free motorboat for day trips on lakes and along the coast. It offers space for up to ten people (including the driver), has a sun deck, a bathing area with shower and ladder for swimming, as well as an enclosed cabin with a day bed and WC in the front area.
The carbon fibre ship is built by US boat builder Hodgdon Yachts. It can be recharged in less than an hour and has a cruising speed of 25 knots and a top speed of 40 knots. The partners have not yet commented on the luxury ship’s production volume or price.
