Vauxhall has converted the Mokka Electric into a ‘Mokka Coffe-e’. This is an electric concept vehicle designed to demonstrate to drivers "the perfect coffee break while charging."

In addition to a “customised barista-quality coffee machine,” the Mokka Coffe-e concept includes a range of pods and blends, a milk frother and a refrigerator. Unfortunately for all coffee connoisseurs out there, the Mokka Coffe-e is a one-off.

The vehicle’s design was inspired by Vauxhall’s discovery that eighty per cent of Vauxhall owners are coffee drinkers with 64% enjoying at least one cup a day. Vauxhall asserts that “the MOKKA COFFE-E ensures drivers have access to their caffeine fix regardless of where they choose to charge.”

In terms of technical specifications, the vehicle’s underpinnings remain the same, except that the concept features two coffee machines, one for ground coffee and one using pods. A milk steamer, coffee grinder, knock box, and fridge are also integrated. The Mokka Electric is currently available with a 54kWh battery and a 115kW electric motor and can achieve up to 252 miles (WLTP) between charges. Supporting up to 100kW DC rapid charging, a 0-80% charge takes just 30 minutes to complete, the perfect amount of time to enjoy a cup of coffee.
