Neta kicks off pre-sales for the Neta S EREV in China
The electric sedan Neta S is available in three different EREV (Extended Range Electric Vehicle) variants at launch, with a CLTC battery range of 300 kilometres. According to Neta, the battery-electric variant will follow “at a later date.” The three variants are titled ‘300 Standard’, ‘300 Pro’, and ‘300 Max’ and feature starting prices of RMB 175,900, RMB 189,900, and RMB 209,900, respectively. Sales are to start this month, with deliveries expected to begin in September.
All three variants feature Neta’s Haozhi 2.0 EREV system and come with either a battery from Gotion or Jiangsu CATL with a capacity of 31.7 kWh or an NMC battery for 43.9 kWh from EVE Energy. Neta revealed that the vehicle’s motor has a peak power of 200 kW, but not the acceleration time.
Once the battery-electric variant is out, it will be based on an 800-volt ‘Shanhai 2.0’ platform, which supports 5C charging multiplier. According to Carnewschina, the electric variant will run on one of two powertrain options: Either a single electric motor in the rear axle for 200 kW, or a 4WD option with a combined output of 370 kW will also be available later. The portal also expects that a cheaper variant with a smaller LFP battery will be unveiled later this month.
The Neta S was initially introduced in early 2022, with the promise to deliver a range of over 700 km. Since then, the company has added to its lineup, for example recently introducing the Neta L, as well as setting up a new factory in Malaysia earlier this year. A long-term supply agreement was also signed with battery manufacturer CATL.
