VinFast starts selling VF e34 in Indonesia
VinFast offers the VF e34 in Indonesia in only one configuration. The company has installed one motor producing 110 kW and 242 Nm of torque on the front axle. The electric small SUV accelerates 0 to 100 kph in less than 9 seconds and achieves a top speed of 130 kph.
VinFast uses a 41.9 kWh LFP battery pack in the VF e34 for cost-effectiveness. Customers can charge it from 10 to 70% SoC with a fast charger in as little as 27 minutes. The company doesn’t provide the full charging time, but it does state that the EV can travel 318.6 km on a full charge.
VinFast equips the VF e34 with features like LED headlamps, DRLs, and tail lamps, 18-inch alloy wheels, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, a 10-inch portrait touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and an automatic climate control system. On the safety front, the company offers six airbags, a 360-degree camera system, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Blind Spot Detection, Door Open Warning, etc.
Normally, VinFast offers the VF e34 for IDR 408,200,000 (EUR 23,144), or IDR 314,000,000 (EUR 17,807) if the customer chooses an available Battery as a Service (BaaS) option. As part of a promotion at the ongoing Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS), the company has discounted the starting price to IDR 273,000,000 (EUR 15,482) until 28 July, but only for the first 1,000 units.
VinFast gives a 10-year vehicle warranty and an unlimited mileage battery warranty to customers who purchase the VF e34 conventionally. The company offers free battery maintenance and replacement if the battery capacity drops below 70% to customers who opt for BaaS.
VinFast is constructing a factory with an annual capacity of 50,000 vehicles in Indonesia and has scheduled its start of production in Q4 2025 (October-December 2025). The company plans to build the VF 3, VF 5, VF 6, and VF 7 there for domestic sales but has not confirmed the e34 for local production.
