In its home market of Germany, the battery-electric Frontera is available for 28,990 euros with an 83 kW electric drive and a 44 kWh battery, which should provide a range of up to 305 kilometres according to WLTP. Opel mentioned this data at the world premiere in May, but the price is new at the start of ordering.

In Italy, the price will start at 27,400 euros, while the Spanish launch has priced the vehicle at 23,500, which can be further lowered via subsidies. The hybrid variant will launch at a price below 22,000 euros. Finally, the Frontera will also launch in the Netherlands, priced at 30,499 euros, with hybrid prices to be announced “soon.”

Opel also revealed plans for a later ‘Long Range’ version, which will be able to drive up to around 400 kilometres (WLTP) on a single charge. However, no further details on this version are given. As the Frontera uses the CMP Smart Car platform, the 400-kilometre version will likely adopt the electric drive of the technically related eCMP platform – a 115 kW motor in combination with a 54 kWh battery. However, this has not been confirmed.

The two equipment lines are independent of the drive system – the Frontera is also available as a hybrid in addition to the purely electric version: The Opel is available as the Frontera Edition or Frontera GS. According to Opel, even the entry-level version is “extensively and extremely practically equipped”. The standard features here include the ten-inch driver information display, smartphone station, OpelConnect with various telematics services, air conditioning, LED headlights and Park Pilot at the rear. In the GS variant, the Frontera will also feature the Pure Panel cockpit with systems such as multimedia infotainment including a ten-inch colour touchscreen and integrated navigation, front parking pilot and reversing camera. There are also LED headlights and tail lights as well as automatic air conditioning. The GS also comes with 17-inch wheels as standard.

While the prices of the electric and hybrid versions are already known in Germany, only the Frontera Electric will be available in the Netherlands at the start of ordering – starting at 30,499 euros. The prices of the hybrid version will be announced in the Netherlands “shortly”. In Italy, the Frontera Electric will start at list prices from €29,900, but with the government subsidy and Opel’s own programme, the vehicle will be available from €27,400 in July. In Spain, the electric Frontera is expected to cost “under €25,000” – with an Opel promotion and, above all, the Spanish Moves subsidy of up to €7,000, the Frontera Electric will be available there for less than €17,000 before the customer.

“Our new Opel Frontera shines with outstanding packaging and an exemplary price-performance ratio,” says Opel CEO Florian Hüttl. “The robust interpretation of our bold and clear design philosophy will inspire customers just as much as the highly competitive prices for the optional electrified or all-electric model. The newcomer underlines our ambition to make electric mobility even more accessible for everyone.”

Nice car but same as all Stellatis line up very UNINSPIRING EVs... 44kWh or 54KWh battery it will will have hard time to inspire anyone to switch to EV .. ( should be nentioned if pracitcally usabale battery is 20-80% we end up with EV of 200km range and need to plugin every 2 days .. ) limited customer base who could even consider it .. and even those will have hart time overcome "ranghe anxiety"... I am sure, especially with subsidies they would be more than happy to add 2-5k for extra kWh in battery, just in case.. but this ICE platform probably does not even have space for it .. but maybe stellantis knows about new generation of EV driver...
