Nikola sold 72 hydrogen FC trucks to North American customers in Q2 2024

Nikola Motor states it has sold a total of 72 Class 8 Nikola hydrogen fuel cell trucks via its HYLA brand in North America. The number stands nearly double of the Q1 sales number.

The US American fuel cell truck manufacturer’s customers included major companies such as Walmart Canada or the logistics company IMC or Ai Logistics, which ordered a full fleet of 100 fuel cell trucks, and has been ramping up sales steadily this year. In fact, the Q2 sales figure stands near double the 40 units sold in Q1 of 2024. This means that over the first half of 2024, Nikola wholesaled 112 hydrogen fuel cell trucks. However, the developer also notes that “Nikola has not completed its quarterly review process or the preparation of its financial statements for the second quarter ended June 30, 2024,” so more information is to follow soon.

“We have maintained our 2024 momentum with solid wholesale numbers, new customers such as Walmart Canada, and repeat customers like 4GEN and IMC, purchasing vehicles through our dealer network,” said Nikola CEO Steve Girsky. “We are firmly on the field and are continuing to secure our first-mover advantage in zero-emissions Class 8 trucks in North America, as well as with our HYLA hydrogen refueling solutions.”
