Togg looking to expand to other European markets by the year-end

Togg has announced that it will open pre-orders for the T10X in Europe by the end of the year, as the carmaker wants to start selling the EV outside of Turkey. Germany will be among the first international markets.

Togg established a local subsidiary in Germany in 2021, but it might only be in late 2024 when it finally releases its first model in the foreign market. In April, Togg CEO Gürcan Karakaş said that the company plans to launch the T10X in Germany this autumn, although he did not talk about the pricing. It is also not clear in which other European countries Togg is looking to sell the electric SUV.

The Togg T10X will likely compete with models like the VW ID.4, Peugeot E-3008, Hyundai Ioniq 5, and Kia EV6 in Germany. These electric SUVs retail at €48,635, €48,650, €43,900, and €46,990, respectively. In Turkey, the Turkish compact EV costs ₺1,432,600 (€40,693) in the base configuration.

The T10X range consists of three power-electric configurations, which we can classify as Standard Range RWD, Long Range RWD, and Performance AWD for the sake of simplicity. The Standard Range RWD variant employs only one motor, which produces 160 kW and 350 Nm of torque. It accelerates from 0 to 100 kph in 7.4 seconds. The Long Range RWD variant has the same motor but it is slightly slower, taking 7.8 seconds for the same. The Performance AWD variant sports two motors, which generate 320 kW and 700 Nm of torque, allowing a quicker 0-100 kph sprint in just 4.8 seconds. The top speed is the same across the line-up – 185 kph.

The T10X Standard Range RWD uses a 52.4 kWh battery pack, while the T10X Long Range RWD and T10X Performance AWD share an 88.5 kWh battery pack. An 11 kW on-board charger is standard, while a 22 kW on-board charger is optional. The peak DC charging capacity across the range is 180 kW. A 20-80% DC fast-charging session takes 28 minutes throughout the line-up.

The T10X delivers a WLTP range of 314 km in the Standard Range RWD variant and 523 km in the Long Range RWD variant. Togg hasn’t stated the range of the Performance AWD variant and isn’t accepting its orders at the moment.

Togg launched the T10X in Turkey in March 2023. Last month, the electric SUV registered more than 4,000 units in domestic sales, which gave it a 56.33% market share in the EV segment in the home market. Year-to-date statistics also indicate a good response, with 11,200 units sold and a market share of 40.89% (in EVs). Togg sells an electric sedan called T10F as well and in 2025, it could expand its portfolio with a B-segment SUV called ‘T8X.’ The company aims to grow its range to five models and sell one million EVs by 2032.
