USA: Bollinger Motors to deliver 80 Class 4 chassis to Momentum Group
The Bollinger B4 Chassis Cab is specially designed to be custom-configured, the manufacturer writes on its website. According to the press release, Momentum Groups, which offers a full-service national fleet program, and mobile or permanent charging infrastructure for EVs, will upfit the chassis “with mobile EV chargers, a box truck, flatbed, service body or stake truck.”
The chassis itself is fitted with battery packs from Our Next Energy (ONE). Bollinger and ONE signed a contract back in 2022. The batteries can be charged AC at 19.2 kW and DC at 110 kW. Charging from zero to 100 per cent takes nine and two hours, respectively. The range is said to be up to 185 miles (297 kilometres).
“Momentum is a leader and innovator in mobile charging solutions and has a shared commitment to using electric vehicles as part of a fleet management solution to help companies reduce emissions and save money,” said Robert Bollinger, founder and CEO of Bollinger Motors. “We are excited that the Bollinger B4 will be the Class 4 platform that helps Momentum deliver a mobile-charging solution.”
Production of the cassis cab will launch in the second half of 2024. The manufacturer does not get more specific. Bollinger was founded in 2015 and has been part of Mullen Automotive since 2022. It develops all-electric commercial chassis cab trucks, Classes 4-6.
