Technotrans introduces modular battery cooling system
Technotrans is presenting its new system at the Battery Show in Stuttgart, Germany, which will take place from the 18-20th of June. The German tech company lauds the system for being able to save space in production, allowing EV manufacturers a greater degree of flexibility in design as well as “significantly more integration options.”
The system was designed for the demands and extreme environmental conditions in the road and off-road sectors and is therefore particularly suitable for electrically operated construction machinery, such as mining trucks. It can also provide heating options, should drivers encounter cold weather. Additionally: “Upon request, the systems cool other components such as the traction system and power electronics in addition to the battery.”
“From now on, we offer vehicle manufacturers even more flexibility: In addition to our established Plug&Play cooling solutions, they now have the option to individually arrange individual modules of a thermal management system on the vehicle using a modular principle. This is a decisive advantage, especially for the production of compact vehicles with limited installation space,” said Sascha Koller, Sales Manager at Technotrans SE.
Technotrans is quite active in the automotive supply chain, recently announcing a major order for bus battery management systems, as well as cooling systems for charging stations.
