Seat CEO Griffiths withdraws from ANFAC
Wayne Griffiths was appointed President of the association in January 2022 and has held the position for two and a half years. Last December, he announced an extension for a further year. “In December, I renewed my position as president of ANFAC because the government is committed to being an ally of the sector and implementing concrete and effective measures quickly”, he said at the time.
When Griffiths spoke at the ANFAC forum in February, the President of the Spanish Government also promised to review the MOVES plan (Spain’s eMobility support programme, editor’s note) and to promote the charging infrastructure. “These measures have not materialised. And that’s why I’m disappointed, because now it’s time to speed up, not slow down.” The Seat boss emphasises that Spain needs to improve the public charging infrastructure and facilitate the purchase of electric cars with a real tax incentive plan that allows subsidies to be obtained at the time of purchase.
