Tata to supply Magenta with over 100 Ace EVs

Magenta Mobility is expanding its collaboration with Tata Motors by deploying over 100 electric trucks from the vehicle manufacturer, including 60 units of the Ace EV truck and 40 of the recently launched upgrade Ace EV 1000.

Electric mobility solutions provider Magenta Mobility solidifies its partnership with India’s largest commercial vehicle manufacturer Tata Motors with the deployment of over 100 units of Tata Ace EV which include over 60 units of Ace EV and over 40 units of the recently launched Ace EV 1000.

This new electric fleet deployment is part of the follow-up from the Memorandum of Understanding signed by the two entities in October 2023, which targeted 500 units of the Tata Ace EV.

Tata had originally introduced the Ace EV electric truck in 2022, with a range of 154 kilometres. The truck is powered by a 27kW motor with 130Nm of peak torque and is reported to have a cargo volume of 208 cubic feet. The newer Ace EV 1000 features a range of 161 kilometres, fast charging capacity, but runs on the same 37 kW drive. Charging takes up to 7 hours on an AC charger from 10-100 per cent, and 105 minutes on a DC charger from 10 to 80 per cent. The maximum speed for both models is set at 60 kph.
