Neta L’s electric variant now available to pre-order in China
The Neta L is available in three purely electric variants. The official market launch is scheduled for the end of June, with deliveries starting in July. At the end of April, the carmaker already presented four equipment variants of the Neta L EREV (Extended Range Electric Vehicle) with a price range of 129,900 to 159,900 yuan.
At 4,770 mm long, 1,900 mm wide, and 1,660 mm tall, the Neta L electric is a mid-size SUV. It’s a five-seater model with a 2,810 mm wheelbase, and it offers 583 litres of luggage space, which can be increased to 1,434 litres by folding the second-row seat. Select configurations even include a frunk with an additional 67-litre storage space.
Based on the internally developed ‘Shanhai’ platform, the Neta L is available as a range-extender EV and also a fully electric vehicle. The latter employs a single permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) in the rear across the range. This motor produces 170 kW (231 PS) and 310 Nm of torque, letting the EV hit 0 to 100 kph in 7.6 seconds and achieve a top speed of 180 kph.
The Neta L EV features cell-to-body (CTB) technology, in which the battery cells are part of the vehicle body, enhancing stability and safety. CATL’s Shenxing LFP battery cells are standard in the electric SUV, and they give it 68 kWh of energy storage capacity, allowing it to cover a distance of 510 km on a full charge, as per CLTC. These battery cells support ultra-fast charging, so increasing the charging level from 10 to 80% capacity takes about 21 minutes.
On the outside, the Neta L packs features like dynamic turn signals (front and rear), electrically deploying flush-fitted door handles, a panoramic sunroof with electrically operated sunshade, and 19-inch alloy wheels wrapped in 225/55 R19 Michelin e.Primacy tyres. Inside, a widescreen digital instrument cluster, two 15.6-inch touchscreens (centre and passenger-side) combined in a single frame, a 64-colour ambient lighting system, and a refrigerator built into the centre console are some of the highlights of the new electric SUV.
The Neta L offers great comfort in the front with a 10-way power-adjustable massage seat for the driver and a 14-way zero-gravity power-adjustable massage seat for the passenger. Both front seats include memory, ventilation, and heating functions, a wing-type headrest, and lumbar support as well. The front passenger seat features even leg support adjustment. Rear-seat passengers can enjoy heating and two-position (117°/122°) recline functions.
The Neta L EV will launch on the Chinese market at the end of June. Mass deliveries of the electric SUV in China will start in July.
