Nio opens “Nio House” in Amsterdam
Nio House Amsterdam is located in the historic Metz building at Leidsestraat 32-34 in the heart of the city centre. The protected monument was built in 1891. It was the tallest private building in Amsterdam at the time and “has witnessed numerous significant cultural and social events in Dutch and European history,” says Nio.
The Chinese carmaker uses the “Nio House” to display its electric cars. It also offers catering services, office space, childcare, exhibitions, and rooms for lectures, relaxation, reading, and socialising. In Amsterdam, each floor of the eight-storey building is designed according to a different theme. In addition to the seven “Nio Houses,” the Chinese EV manufacturer has eight “Nio Spaces” and 55 service centres in Europe.
“Nio House Amsterdam is Nio’s largest Nio House in Europe, marking a significant step in our global expansion,” says CEO William Li, who travelled to the Netherlands for the opening. “Since 2021, we have established a complete operating system in the European market, comprising product, technology, service, and community, shaping a joyful lifestyle centred around cars. We will continue to advance our service infrastructure in Europe, improve user satisfaction, and contribute more to the local community through NIO House.”
