As the news agency Reuters writes, V-Green will tackle the task together with partners. “V-Green will directly search for land and partners to establish and expand its charging network in key markets of VinFast,” explained Pham Nhat Vuong, who not only founded VinFast in 2017, but has also been CEO of the manufacturer for several months.

According to Reuters, the billionaire holds 90% of the shares in V-Green. No information is available on the targeted charging capacity or the preferred locations. It remains unclear whether V-Green is primarily aiming for charging points on motorways or in urban areas, only public or also semi-public. One thing is clear: In Vietnam, V-Green will be responsible for the operation and management of the existing VinFast charging network. Initially, the charging service will be exclusive to VinFast vehicles. After five years, an expansion to other electric car manufacturers is being considered.

Over the next two years, the new company will receive capital totalling
404 million dollars (around 371 million euros) will be available to the new company over the next two years.
