Germany: VW ID.7 Tourer available to order from 54,795 euros

The VW ID.7 Tourer, presented around three weeks ago, can now be configured and ordered in Germany at prices starting from 54,795 euros. That puts the Tourer below the list price of the ID.7 saloon.

At the pre-sales launch, the electric estate can be configured as the ID.7 Tourer Pro with a 210 kW electric drive and a battery with an energy content of 77 kWh (net). The WLTP range is up to 607 kilometres. That value was not previously known. At the premiere, VW had only given an estimated WLTP range of 685 kilometres for the ID.7 Tourer Pro S with an 86-kWh battery. However, as with the MEB saloon, this variant is not yet available to order.

For the Pro model, the 54.795-euro base price includes dual-zone automatic air conditioning, the infotainment system with a 15-inch touchscreen, an augmented reality head-up display, the IDA voice assistant, four USB-C ports, ambient lighting (ten colours), the anti-theft alarm system, heated front seats, a luggage compartment partition net, LED lighting and a battery compartment divider, a luggage compartment partition net, LED headlights and LED tail lights, electrically folding exterior mirrors, the keyless locking and starting system “Keyless Access,” the rain sensor, black roof rails (75 kg roof load) and 19-inch alloy wheels. There is also a range of assistance systems that come standard, such as the ACC automatic distance control system, including Lane Assist (lane keeping assistant), Side Assist (lane change assistant), the Car2X warning system, (mandatory) traffic sign recognition, a rear view camera and Light Assist (high beam assistant).

The exterior colours in the configurator are significantly less lavish – all options are in the silver-grey-blue colour spectrum. The standard colour is moonstone grey. The five metallic paints cost between 755 and 905 euros extra. However, suppose you want to order the roof painted in contrasting black for between 895 and 1,045 euros. In that case, you also have to book the “Exterior Package Plus” including the “Smart Glas” panoramic roof – for a hefty additional 5,025 euros.

The choice of wheel rims is also quite simple: there are two versions of the 19-inch “Hudson” wheels and two versions of the 20-inch “Montreal” wheels. The interior comes with grey and black seats as standard. However, the colour variants (some with ID. logo on the seat backrests), which are subject to a surcharge, are sometimes linked to one of the interior packages – for a surcharge of €2,605 or €4,475 for the “Plus” package.

In addition to the exterior and interior packages in two versions, the list of optional extras is relatively short. For €1,455, the “Assistance package” offers additional driving assistants, while the “Comfort package” for additional climate control and infotainment functions costs €1,800. A folding towbar is available for 990 euros. The heat pump must also be booked separately in the ID.7 Tourer for 990 euros, as does the charging cable for the household socket (175 euros).

VW does not specify when the ID.7 Tourer, built in Emden in Germany, will be delivered in the announcement of the order launch. However, it should be mentioned that the “campaign bonus” of €4,760 is currently still being deducted from the ID.7 Tourer in the VW configurator. VW has offered the bonus after Germany ended its environmental bonus rather abruptly last year. German customers can thus theoretically order the EV from 50,035 euros. Regardless of the campaign bonus, at 54,795 euros, the list price of the ID.7 Tourer is even 2,200 euros cheaper than the ID:7 hatchback. The latter is still listed in the configurator at the announced 56,995 euros.
