The company had made a similar deal with Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) in late January to deliver 1,800 chargers. As with the new order, Servotech will provide chargers with 60 kW and 120 kW.

The order from HPCL is valued at 102 crores and involves Servotech manufacturing, supplying and installing DC chargers nationwide, prioritising deployment at HPCL’s retail outlets.

Sarika Bhatia, Director of Servotech Power Systems, said that together with HPCL, they were “committed to scaling up and fast-forwarding the transition to a sustainable future”.

Servotech says it has deployed 4,000 EV Chargers in India as of January 2024.

HPCL has also been active in the field and pledged in 2021 to commission 5,000 EV chargers throughout 2024. At the time, the company also made agreements with Convergence Energy Services Ltd (CESL), Tata Power, and Magenta EV Systems to set up charging infrastructure at their retail outlets.

Most recently, HPCL partnered with Taiwan’s two-wheeler and battery-swapping pioneer, Gogoro, to develop a broad battery-swapping infrastructure across India.
