King Charles III’s I-Pace to hit the auction hall

An electric car of royal origin will soon be going under the auction hammer in England. It is the Jaguar I-Pace that King Charles III purchased in 2018 - back then as a prince. Its paintwork is unique in the world.

The car was driven by Charles himself and other members of the royal family and, after being purchased in 2018, was returned to Jaguar in December 2020 with around 3,000 miles on the clock. The manufacturer then put it up for sale and it passed to its current owner. She is now auctioning the Jaguar I-Pace on 2 March.

The vehicle now has 35,000 miles on the clock, which equates to a good 56,000 kilometres. It is the only example of the model in the world to be painted in the colour ‘Loire Blue’. The guide price is between 55,000 and 70,000 pounds, i.e. between 64,000 and 82,000 euros. By comparison, a brand-new I-Pace costs from £69,995 in the UK.
