TOGG reveals electric saloon T10F

The Turkish electric car manufacturer Togg presented a near-production prototype of its saloon planned for 2025 at the CES and published technical data. The T10F will be Togg's second model after the T10X SUV and will be launched on the market in three versions.

The data on the drives is essentially known from the T10X. The Standard Range RWD, Long Range RWD and Long Range AWD variants will also be available for the T10F saloon. The RWD models have a 160 kW motor, while the all-wheel drive variant with a second motor has an output of 320 kW. The Standard Range models have a battery capacity of 52.4 kWh, while the Long Range models have a capacity of 88.5 kWh.

Due to the more aerodynamic body of the T10F, the range of the saloon is, as expected, somewhat higher: with the 52.4 kWh battery it should be up to 350 kilometres (T10X: 314 kilometres). With the large battery, the EV can even go 600 kilometres on one charge – in the SUV it is up to 523 kilometres according to WLTP. However, the T10F figures are still preliminary values for the near-series prototype. As reported, the series model is expected to be presented towards the end of the year, with series production planned for 2025.

The F in the model designation stands for “fastback.” It is not a classic notchback saloon with a small boot lid (such as the Tesla Model 3 or Mercedes EQE), but a fastback in which the rear window also swings upwards to reveal a large boot opening – like the Polestar 2, BMW i4 or VW ID.7.

With a length of 4.83 metres, the Togg T10F is roughly on par with the i4, while the ID.7 is a few centimetres longer. Accordingly, the boot volume of the T10F (500 to 1,350 litres) is also more comparable to the i4 (470 to 1,290 litres). At 532 to 1,600 litres, the ID.7 can load considerably more, especially with the rear seat backrests folded down.

The T10F is probably the first further development of Togg’s own technology: the T10X SUV still had a maximum DC charging capacity of 150 kW. With the saloon, the electricity should already flow into the battery at 180 kW at corresponding fast-charging stations. Togg specifies the DC charging time from 20 to 80 per cent (i.e. not the usual window of 10 to 80 per cent) as 28 minutes, regardless of the battery size.

An 11 kW charger is installed ex works for AC charging, with 22 kW being possible as an option. The T10F will also support V2L, meaning that electrical devices can be operated with electricity from the drive battery. Vehicle-to-home or vehicle-to-grid functionalities are not yet mentioned.

In the interior, the T10F offers a striking 29-inch touchscreen that extends in front of the front passenger. The driver also has their own 12.3-inch instrument display behind the steering wheel. An eight-inch touchscreen for climate control is also installed in the centre. Compared to the T10X, the interior will feature a new steering wheel as well as modified seats and door panelling.

The prices for the T10F and the exact market launch in 2025 are not yet known.
