Acura opens US order books for the Acura ZDX
A more powerful dual-motor (all-wheel-drive) configuration also is available. The ZDX Type S features a performance-tuned dual-motor AWD powertrain and is expected to start in the $70,000 range.
When the vehicle model was initially revealed in August, two variants were announced which would be equipped with a 102 kWh battery, which can be charged with up to 190 kW.
The difference between the two variants A-Spec and Type S is in the powertrain and orientation: the ZDX A-Spec comes with around 254 kW of rear-wheel drive and an EPA range of 325 miles (523 kilometres) at prices starting at about 60,000 dollars. A dual-motor all-wheel drive is also planned for the ZDX A-Spec, which should allow for a range of around 315 miles (507 kilometres).
The sporty top model is the ZDX Type S with an all-wheel drive system producing around 373 kW, which is expected to start at prices starting around 70,000 dollars and offers about 288 miles (463 kilometres) of EPA range.
