Zero Motorcycles extends warranty in Europe
From the time the motorbike is handed over to the customer, all damage covered under the warranty agreement will be covered by the manufacturer for a period of 60 months and without kilometre limitation. This also expressly applies to the “Power Pack”, meaning the traction battery of Zero bikes. The extended warranty period is realised together with the pan-European insurance company Real Garant Zurich, which is part of the Zurich Insurance Group.
Zero Motorcycles recently presented a new lineup to update its electric motorcycles for 2024. Furthermore, to ensure that all those who purchased a 2024 bike from a Zero dealer are not worse off than new vehicle buyers, these bikes have had their warranty periods extended by a further three months.
“It is our understanding as a premium manufacturer that this claim is not only reflected in the quality of our products, but also in the service we provide to our customers,” explains Umberto Uccelli, Vice President and Managing Director EMEA of Zero Motorcycles. “With the extension of our warranty scheme, Zero buyers now have the assurance for half a decade that we as a manufacturer will take responsibility for product defects. This is an important step in terms of customer service and also sends a strong signal to the used market.”
Zero appears to improving its global offers, as about two months ago, prices were lowered for the North American markets. At the beginning of the year, a development partnership was also announced with Hero MotoCorp, to “combine the expertise of Zero in developing power trains and electric motorcycles with the scale of manufacturing, sourcing and marketing of Hero MotoCorp.”
