Ekoenergytyka deepens ties with Portugal’s CPO Powerdot
While not explicitly stated, it is likely the delivery for Powerdot’s Polish network. The company announced a deal with the Polish supermarket chain Biedronka in July this year. They want to equip 600 parking spaces with fast charging stations by the end of next year. 150 fast chargers were to be in by 2023, so the Ekoenergetyka order fits well with these plans.
At the same time, Eko, in the latest press release, only mentions Powerdot followed a Destination Charging business model, setting up partnerships with businesses like supermarkets, malls, hotels and restaurants. This means the new chargers could appear anywhere.
The Portuguese CPO runs over 3,500 charging points in its home country, Belgium, France, Luxembourg, Poland and Spain.
Ekoenergetyka will provide round-the-clock remote monitoring and repair services for the charging stations from its headquarters in Zielona Góra. The company claims it can address almost 60% of malfunction reports remotely.
“We have found at Ekoenergetyka a reliable partner for deploying our charging infrastructure across Europe,” said João Seabra, Head of Central Operations at Powerdot. He added that they would continue working with Ekoenergetyka to accelerate sustainable mobility.
Ekoenergetyka, which manufactures its charging stations in Poland, signed a contract to supply the Powerdot network this year. It also works with Ionity across Europe, Adler Smart Solutions and Ionium in Germany, and Swarco Smart Charging in the UK, as reported.
