EVCS and Lyft announce partnership programme in the US
Drivers enrolled with the ridesharing company can save up to hundreds of dollars per year on charging, says EVCS. The latter offers discounts to Lyft drivers for Level 2 and DC charging.
The discounts are tiered, meaning that Pro drivers can shave the most off their bill. Moreover, discounts apply to pay-as-you-go and subscription-based charging. In case of the latter, EVCS offers two different models: ‘Unlimited Anytime,’ where drivers have 24/7 access to the charging stations, and ‘Unlimted Off-Peak,’ allowing drivers to plug in between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m.
“Over the past three years, we’ve seen a substantial increase from drivers in making the switch to EVs. However, access to fast, affordable charging continues to be a major barrier to widespread EV adoption. That’s why this partnership with EVCS is so important and why we’re excited to be able to offer it to drivers on Lyft,” says Erin Gray, Senior Director of Product at Lyft.
EVCS has been around since 2018 and says that it is “one of the largest and fastest-growing electric vehicle fast charging networks on the US West Coast.” It operates more than 900 chargers.
