FOR:EV to install charging stations at UK Starbucks
The charging hubs installed at Livingston, Dunfermline and Galashiels will be ultra-rapid 150 kW C Series charger models. These are said to be able to charge a typical EV from 20% to 80% charge in about 20-30 minutes. At Blairgowrie, 100 kW rapid chargers will be installed, which should take about 30-40 minutes for the same process. FOR:EV eventually plans to set up a charging network of over 1,700 charging points at 600 publicly available destination charging sites across Scotland and the UK.
“The installation of these new ultra-rapid charge points at Starbucks sites across Scotland will be very welcome at a time when EV ownership is increasing dramatically,” said FOR:EV’s Senior Business Development Manager, Calum Wallace, adding: “In order to break down a key barrier to EV charging away from home, our chargers operate on a user-friendly ‘tap-and-go’ approach, with no registration or membership requirements, to make the experience as easy and stress-free as possible.”
