USA: Kia announces EV6 prices for 2024
The 2024 model year of Kia’s EV6 electric car will sell from 42,600 dollars in the US, the carmaker announced. The EV is available in eight trims with either rear-wheel or all-wheel drive.
The prices are slightly higher than in the past years. The 2022 EV6, for example, was available from $40,900.
From next year, the EV6 Light will also be available with a 77.4-kWh battery. Previously, the version had a 58-kWh battery. The latter is still available, but customers can now choose the EV6 Light RWD and e-AWD with more range.
The EV6 Light RWD (with the 58 kWh battery) can go 232 miles (373 kilometres) on one charge. At the same time, the trims EV6 Light Long Range RWD, EV6 Wind RWD, and EV6 GT-Line RWD (with the larger battery pack) have a range of 310 miles (499 kilometres).
Moreover, Kia announces that “the EV6 GT is now rated at an EPA-estimated 218 miles (351 kilometres) of all-electric range, an improvement of 12 miles over the 2023 EV6 GT.” The top trim will be available from 61,600 dollars.
Kia first introduced the EV6 in 2021. It has an 800-volt technology and is based on the Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP). The 2024 model year will be available this autumn.
